The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for our Web site.

Cookies

We use cookies to save your user name and password so you do not have to re-enter it each time you visit our site. Cookies are a standard Internet technology that allows us to store and retrieve your login information on your system. The cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to determine the identity of any of our users. You may choose not to use the cookies, in which case you should elect not to have your password stored during the registration process (you will need to enter your password each time you want to access your personalized Leadership Excellence member Web page.)

We also use cookies to save information that will let you quickly and easily return to the site to complete the delivery of a service. With the cookie, you can shortcut to the exact point in the service and you will not need to start over.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.

What information we collect/how we use it

Contact information

Our site’s registration form requests users to give us contact information (such as your email address and ZIP/Postal code.) Some of the requested information is required in order to receive the Leadership Excellence service; other information is optional. The required information is clearly marked as such as in the registration form. We use users’ information is four ways:

  1. to send personalized, targeted information to the user in the form of email messages
  2. if the user so chooses, to send newsletters and announcements about workshops and camps based on their interests
  3. to contact users for feedback and surveys
  4. to identify new services that would be of value to our users

We do not share any of your information with third parties. During the registration process, you may grant permission for us to act as an agent to use your contact information to provide you with information about third parties or sponsors (generally not-for-profit organizations which offer services about which our users may be interested.) The option for granting this permission is clearly marked on the registration forms. If you grant us permission to act as an agent for your information and then change your mind, you may revoke your permission; see "Changing Your Status," below.

Profile data

Profile data is also collected at our site. Depending on the specific Leadership Excellence services for which a user registers, various information will be requested, such as the names and versions of the software applications you have, the version of operating system on your computer and the type of computer you use. All of this information is required in order to receive the Leadership Excellence services and without it, Leadership Excellence services cannot be delivered. We also use this data to tailor the customer’s Leadership Excellence experience through our email messages and to construct a personalized Web page containing the specific services and content that the customer requests. By obtaining this information, we can provide our users with specific content that we think will be of interest to them, according to their preferences and interests.

We also use your profile data in the same four ways described in "Contact information," above.

We do not share any of your profile data with third parties. During the registration process, you may grant permission for us to act as an agent to use your profile data to provide you with information about third parties or sponsors (generally companies which sell consumer products and services about which our users may be interested.) The option for granting this permission is clearly marked on the registration forms. If you grant us permission to act as an agent for your profile data and then change your mind, you may revoke your permission; see "Changing Your Status," below.

Reports

We provide reports to a limited number of organizations with which we do business. These reports include aggregate information about our users. The information in these reports will not identify you individually. The outside companies who receive these reports will not be able to contact you from the information in the reports.

Referral Program

As part of our referral program, we request contact information (such as the email address) of our customers’ friends and family whom they think would like to receive the Leadership Excellence service. The persons referred to us will be contacted only by leadershipExcellence.org. We use and treat the information our users provide about their referrals in the same way we use and treat information about users who register with Leadership Excellence directly.

Changing Your Status

Because we want our users to feel completely comfortable using Leadership Excellence services, we provide you with various opportunities to control how the information you provide to us is used. This site gives users the following options to cancel our service and not receive future communications from us, have us remove their information from our database and change their profile data.

To unsubscribe from our service, follow the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email we send you. You will not receive any further communication from us.

To request that we no longer act as an agent for your information in order to provide information about third parties, you can send a blank email to never {at} leadershipExcellence.org. Be sure to send this message from the email address you provided us in your registration. The request will be honored as soon as we receive it, but does not affect any information you provided to us.

To have all of your personal information removed from our database, send an email request to remove {at} leadershipExcellence.org. Be sure to send this message from the email address you provided us in your registration. We will delete your information after we receive your request.

If you would like to change any of your contact information in our database, you can do so by following the "Changing Your Contact Information" link at the bottom of any email we send you, or by logging into your leadershipExcellence.org personalized Web page, clicking on the "Change my Contact Info" button and following the directions. This will automatically change the information contained in our database. We will send a notice to you by email to confirm that the change has been made.
