M.E.C.C.A

M.E.C.C.A. (Men Educating Culturally Conscious Africans) is a weekly support group for young men ages 14 to 21 that allows them to come together on a regular basis in an atmosphere of encouragement and self-healing. M.E.C.C.A. is a circle in which young men can talk about their day-to-day challenges as they work for social change in the community, at home, at school, and among their peers. Participants say they felt that here, they could discuss issues they would not be able to discuss anywhere else.

MECCA meets 6PM – 7:30 PM every Thursday in The SPOT in the LE offices.
