| R.I.S.E. is a year-long leadership-training program that starts with Camp Akili specifically for a school site. The program, currently at the McClymond’s Educational Complex, focuses on personal character development through experiential workshops and discussion presentations.
In addition, students are exposed to experiential opportunities off campus such as the African American Museum and the San Francisco Exploratorium. The program operates from the premise that teenagers want to succeed and need support in identifying effective alternatives to counter their current situation. |
